Show us a room Monday...Today's pick is Morgan's room

The room I choose this week is Morgan's room. I have not taken any pictures of her room yet, so I thought this would be the perfect way to finally share her room with everyone! When we were deciding what to do for Morgan's room I knew I wanted pink and brown as the colors. I found a pattern that has a little bit of flowers on it, and also polka dots. Morgan already has a collection of stuffed animals that she has received, so I placed them all in a big basket and display them on the chest in her room. The book shelf in filled with pictures of our family and her very own book collection. Morgan loves to be read to.

I found some pink letters with silver rhinestones on them that I thought would be perfect for her room. I used to collect barbies when I was growing up so I decided that I would go through my many boxes of them and pull out all the princess ones and put them in Morgan's room.
The dresser in Morgan's room has so much meaning behind it. When my father moved out when he was 18 his mom found this dresser for him, of course it was not pink then! This dresser has stayed in our family ever since. My sister and I used it when we were little and it was painted yellow and blue. I even used it when I was older and wanted a leopard themed room. I painted the dresser tan with leopard spots all over it. My parents decided to sand it down and get all the old paint off and repaint it for Miss Morgan. The colors are perfect and it even has the polka dot theme.

When Shawn and I were debating over what Morgan's name was going to be we always knew that her middle name would be Lynn. My Grandmother, Mom and I all have that middle name and it was important to me that my little girl's middle name be the same. When my grandma came to visit when Morgan was born she put together this frame. There is a baby picture of all four of us with our names and date of births. She also typed up a story explaining how her parents choose her name. What a great gift for Morgan to carry with her and hopefully pass on to her daughter.

This is my favorite spot in Morgan's room. I love rocking Morgan at night before she goes to bed. I was only able to nurse her for the first 2 months before I got Mastitis. The nurse told me I had to keep nursing Morgan in order for it to go away. I was also put on antibiotics. After two days of the antibiotics my milk completely dried up and I could no longer nurse. I was crushed. I did not want to lose the bond that Morgan and I had begun to build so I decided that I would still use the rocker when I fed her. It is still the best moment of everyday!

HI Chrissy,
Oh my so many things about Morgan's room that I love, ok I'll start my list!!!
Pink and brown-cute colors!!!Love strawberry and chocolate ice-cream!!!Dresser, family treasure, that means so much to us older ones!!!Rocking chair, love rocking and cuddling!!!
And finally the photo frame your Grandma made you with all the baby photos and of course the story, how cool is that!!!! My sister got the family middle name which is Mae, so when she had Brianna 18 years ago, she really didn't want to do the Mae thing, I told her "You have to, just modernize it, so I came up with MAEGAN!!!! So hopefully the next 4 generations will be MAEGAN for the middle name!!!I also love Barbies, what girl doesn't???
Very cute and a fun place for you and your beautiful daughter to hang out together!!!
have a blessed day!!!
