In Remembrance of 9/11
September 11th, a day that everyone will remember. On Friday night my family and I went to the Tempe Beach Park to celebrate the memory of the victims from 9/11/2001. I wasn't sure what to expect going down here, I just knew it would be very emotional. When we arrived there were flags everywhere with laminated cards attached to them with each individuals name, age, where they were at the time of their death, and a brief bio about them. As we walked down the sidewalk we stopped at almost every flag to read the descriptions...when we reached the "Healing Field" we then realized we would not be able to read all the cards. There were 3,000 flags in the ground. It was a bit overwhelming to think that all these people had lost their lives within a matter of hours. There was even a flag with a little bear by it and the card read: David Reed, age 3, Flight 93. The little bio said that he was adopted. That card brought tears to my eyes and aches to my heart knowing that this poor helpless child had his life taken from him. To all of you that rest in peace from this tragic affair, we will never forget you and your brave souls for trying to help others get out of the building or save the planes. I pray that your families stay strong as they have to re-live this event each year as they miss you in their lives. Thank you for watching over all of us as we stand here by each and everyone of your flags and remember the day your souls went to Heaven.

Yes, 9-11 will be etched in our memories forever. It really is a sad sad day and I fill so bad for the ones who have that day for their birthdays. I did not even know about Tempe having the memorial, I want to do that next year. Thank you for going and showing support.
