Day 2

Day 2: A photo of yourself at least a year ago.

Well I had to post two...and one not just of myself.

My Story: I am VERY organized in my life...labels and containers for everything! So I went into my pictures and was easily able to go back exactly one year ago as I have all my photos labeled my month and year. This picture was taken last January and I chose it because it was my first 1/2 marathon I had ever ran. Click here, 2:29:35, to read more. The training at first was very hard for me, I battled an addiction that caused me not to be able to run very easily...but with the support of my "Sole Sisters" and my family I was able to run in a few races to get ready for the big race day! The overwhelming feeling at the finish line included emotions of joy, happiness, fatigue, accomplishment...and more I'm sure. I cried tears of joy as Andrea and I crossed over that finish line! If all goes as planned my next race is in June...this one in San Diego.

31 day Photo with a Story Challenge: Day 1

There are so many blogs that I LOVE to follow and one of them that is done by a dear friend of mine has challenged all of her followers to begin a 31 day "Photo with a Story" Challenge. So...I am going to do my best to post each day with hopes of not missing one.

Day 1: A photo of you.

My story: I am a wife, I am a proud mom of 2, a teacher, a beauty consultant and so much more. I am married to the man of my dreams. Our story truly shows how God worked in both our lives to bring us back to one another. I met my husband while in high school, our parents lived down the rode from one another. We dated briefly at a young age and then went our separate ways. Both of us got married and led lives with others and both relationships ended. As I finished college a mutual friend of ours came over to celebrate my graduation and invited Shawn along with him. My husband and I have been together ever since. We have an 11 1/2 year old son, Zach, who rocks my world every day with his 6th grade attitude...but at the end of the day he is still so young and lovable. We have a 2 1/2 year daughter, Morgan, who is a true girlie girl! Nails painted, high heels on, and always into mommy's make-up! I teach preschool 3 days a week to 4 little kids and LOVE what I do! I am also a beauty consultant, which is by far the BEST job I have ever had! I have begun to work with bride's and their bridesmaids and do so much more than I ever could have imagined! This is me all summed up! We are a busy family and always on the go. We serve God in our home with all we do!
I would like to invite each of you to begin your 31 day "Photo with a Story" Challenge too! I am excited to get to know each of my fellow bloggers just a little bit more!

Las Vegas

Shawn and I hopped on a plane and headed to Las Vegas for the weekend! It was great to get-a-way! We have always stayed off the strip when we have gone before so this time we decided to stay on the strip...I should have done MUCH more research on where we stayed...we stayed at the Luxor...and did NOT like it at all! After exploring almost all the casino's we decided our next stay will be much better at Paris, PH, or even the new City Center. Other than our room...our trip was great! Much needed time together. We saw the Chris Angel; Believe show. Rather interesting is how I can sum it up for you! Did a little gambling...just slots, and lot's of playing! Our next trip is in the planning stages!

LOVE is in the air!

All though I truly enjoy the Christmas season...I have to admit Valentine's Day is close to the top of my list...with Easter being first. The reason is here in Arizona once Valentine's Day comes then Spring comes...and that is my favorite time of year...flowers, green grass, and the outdoors. So for now LOVE is in the air...or rather my HOME!
While being a stay at home mom I have become rather crafty! So stay tuned for a few new projects that are coming to add to this LOVEly decor including a new picture from our favorite LOVE spot!!

Dance like no-one is watching...

Morgan started her Tutu Cute class on Saturday. She was a little shy at first, but after she saw mommy being silly with the rest of the dancers she warmed up! I am so grateful for Mrs. Rhianna. She is a friend of mine from high school who I danced with and she has followed her dream and opened and non-competitive studio. I am excited to watch Morgan grow into a beautiful dancer...well that is if she enjoys it!

$29.00 addmission...WHAT???

Today we took a trip to the Wildlife World Zoo. Good thing I had a 2 for 1 coupon because admission is $29.00 per person...so NOT worth it, but the kids had fun!!
Morgan and Tristan RUNNING to the Giraffe's
Standing in the middle of one of the small aquariums
Miss Denna
EXHAUSTED after running all around the zoo!
The good thing about this zoo is there were not a lot of people there so Morgan and Tristan were really able to run and have fun. The bad thing is the cost of admission for something I felt was not worth it. The aquarium is so talked up and then you go in and it was disappointing to me. I guess I just expected more. But, I am very thankful we were able to escape the walls of my home for a few hours and spend some time with my mom today! So for that it was well worth it!
