A little update...

Yesterday we had Morgan's re-check at the dermatologist office. Her eczema has now gone away and we are good to go with just preventative treatments. Morgan is much happier as she is no longer scratching all the time and making herself bleed on her face. We also had Miss Morgan's nine month check up. She is weighs 18lbs. 15oz. and is 29 inches long. Such a big girl she is getting to be.

Here is our little ballerina! I cannot wait for dance classes to start.Just one more of Shawn and his uncle out working on Zach's bed for his birthday.
Over the weekend Zach decided it would be nice to wash my car...I think he just mostly wanted to play in the water because it was so hot, but I got a clean car out of it!!

Zach's 10th birthday

Well Mr. Zachary turned 10 yesterday. We had my parents over for dinner last night and celebrated with cake, ice cream and of course presents. Shawn decided that we would get Zach a new bed for his birthday...only we did not want to just go pick one out and buy it, so Shawn made the head board and the foot board. Zach was so excited...as you can see when he first looked at it!

A story of a substitute....

Well, I am now on week two of this long term sub job I accepted. What was I thinking? The first week went okay, the class is good for the most part. Yesterday a student brought a shoe horn to school...not just your normal 5-6 inch shoe horn, but a 2 foot long shoe horn. He was swinging it around at the end of the day calling it his "teacher whacker". He said, "If a teacher messes with me then I can use this to WHACK them with it!" WOW! I gave him a one way ticket straight to the office. Seriously I am not sure that I can deal with behaviors like that for 3 more weeks. Well that's it for this sub. story today...stay tuned, I am sure I will have more next week!

Another great weekend

This weekend started off with our Improv night at our church. What a great family show that was put on for us by the company Dramagenics. Nothing like a great laugh and hanging out with family and friends.

Saturday night Shawn and his Uncle Scott raced their quads out at Speedworld. It is a little nerve racking for me to watch, but they did great. Shawn came in first place and Scott came in second place. This was Shawn's second time racing and his second 1st place trophy!

Shawn is the one in the black and his uncle is the one in the red. This was during the test and tune part of the night.

Here we are out supporting daddy!

This is Shawn's mom with the kids.

I took Morgan to the dermatologist yesterday and we were told that she has eczema. We have to put an ointment on her face, arms and legs twice a day for two weeks and then we have to go back for a re-check. The doctor we saw was great with her. She was in the room with us for about 30 minutes discussing her condition and giving us helpful tips on how to control this problem after it clears up.

On another note...I am starting a long term substitute position next week. I will be working for 5 weeks only and then I will be back at home with Miss Morgan. This is going to be a very hard adjustment, but I know God will stick by us and get us through it!

Lastly, Morgan has both bottom teeth now and has begun to eat her little gerber puff treats. They dissolve in her mouth as she chews (gums) on them. She is just getting so big! When we give her, her bottle now she does not like to be held. She likes to be in her swing or highchair and she wants to enjoy her drink by herself. She does like to snuggle at night though and when she wakes up from her naps.

A series of Easter weekend events...

Our Easter weekend was full of events. First I was off to the mall on Friday with my mom and Morgan. We met up with our friends Lynne, Brooke and Tatum for lunch. It was so great to spend time with them.

Then it was off to Build A Bear. Brooke and Tatum each made their own bears and then they each made a Little Lamb for Morgan and her cousin Ashlyn.
Next on the agenda was a "Girls Night Out" for Chrissy. First we met for dinner at Ah So's...for some Sushi!!! I was so excited for this because I have not had sushi since before I got pregnant with Miss Morgan. It was long over due!! After dinner we headed over to Salty Senoritas for a few drinks and some laughs.

Saturday I started my day at Sam's club getting goodies for our Improv night at church this Friday. I met up with a friend from church to get everything. Then I stop at the hotel a friend was staying at to see her and her daughter. Reanna, her daughter, was my student last year in Winslow. They were able to meet Morgan finally. Next stop was mom and dad's. I stopped to visit with my parents for a little bit and we chatted with my cousin Michelle and her new baby, and my aunt and uncle on I-Chat for awhile. Then I was off to my friend Tara's house. She was my high school dance teacher...crazy I know we still talk too. It was great to see her kids and her, it had been awhile. Lastly, I was headed home...of course after a grocery store stop. So much fun today after I forgot my camera! :( I was so bummed!
Easter Sunday was great. I headed to church in the morning, then we went over to Randy and Sherry's house. The kids participated in an Easter egg hunt and then a HUGE water balloon fight. It was a great day with the family.

Shawn and Raymond...always up to something.

Our little Princess

Our little Princess is now 8 months old. She had her first taste of yogurt yesterday and we found out that she was allergic to it. She broke out in hives and of course I freaked out because the nurse was telling me she could go into shock and then we would have to call 911...why don't they tell you that it would happen right away...not 3 hours later. I think they like hearing mothers in distress. Needless to say our little one is just fine. After some Benedryl to help the hives go away and some cereal she rested well last night, and mom is no longer freaking out!

Ever since she was 2 months old she has developed a skin irritation. I am not sure if it is related to the formula or not. I was not able to continue nursing after 2 months because I developed an infection. Well it was at the time that we started Morgan on formula that her skin problem arose. We have been referred to a dermatologist to hopefully find out what is going on. My thoughts is she might have a milk allergy, or dairy allergy considering our little episode with the yogurt. We will pray for the best and hope that she does not have a dairy allergy...it would be sad to miss out on ice cream for her first birthday!

This is after bath time. Morgan loves to play in the tub now!
