First haircut

While in Colorado my cousin Michelle, who is a hair dresser, gave Morgan her first haircut. Morgan's little bangs were hanging way past her nose and I could never keep them out of her face. So...Morgan got a haircut. We had to use Wesley's saucer as Morgan's chair because she was just too squirmy. She did great while she got her hair cut!

Fall trip to Colorado

Morgan and I took a last minute trip to Colorado this past week to visit some of our family. We arrived on Friday morning in Denver to a chilling 52 degrees. Such a change from Phoenix! As we headed down to Colorado Springs we stopped in Castle Rock to do a little shopping at the outlet malls. There was even snow on the ground there.
We arrived in Colorado Springs at my Grandma's house to lot's of Fall leaves on the ground. Morgan was amazed as she sat in them and they CRUNCHED!
On Saturday we headed over to my Aunt and Uncle's house to see them and my 3 cousins, along with my grandparents. Morgan was being such a ham as we were leaving!

Here we are with my dad's parents. This is the third time they have gotten to see Miss Morgan this year! We are pretty lucky to be able to make these trips back there to see our family!

After a long afternoon of playing we headed to Starbucks and then Michael's to get a few treats. Miss Morgan was soo tired she fell asleep sitting up in the cart. Poor girl!
Here is Mister Wesley playing away. This is my cousin Michelle's son...so my 2nd cousin! They are moving to Germany soon, so we wanted to get one last visit in before they head off.
After the babies went to sleep on Saturday night Michelle and I decided to bake cupcakes for our family dinner on Sunday night. We were having entirely WAY too much fun. We even woke up my Grandma at 10:30 just to show her a cupcake we decorated JUST for her! She then joined in on the laughter...I think it was mid-night before we all got to bed!

Here is a preview of what we did.

On Sunday we were stuck in doors for the most part of the day due to the snow and the frightfully chilling temperature of 27 degrees. We hung out at Grandma's until we had to head to Grandpa's for our family dinner.

The falling snow...
Morgan's first time in the snow. She kept saying "WOW Mama"!
Monday morning it was still pretty cold, but I decided to take Morgan out to play in the snow. She just stayed on the sidewalk...but was truly amazed at the white stuff on the ground.

After it warmed up a bit we decided to go do some more shopping. I don't think a girl can EVER do too much shopping in one weekend. One of our FAVORITE stops was Target. Look how happy those babies are riding in the cart a "new" way. Morgan acted like she was quite something sitting there. Wesley just kept kicking his feet everywhere and smiling!

Here is a view of Pikes Peak with snow on the top! This was taken off the deck at my Grandma's house. What a view she has everyday!

Here is Morgan on Tuesday morning sitting with Mickey Mouse watching The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She just LOVED this life size Mickey!

We finally made it to the Denver airport to head home. Shawn was gone all last week on a hunting trip in Texas with his father, so we couldn't wait to get home and see him! Traveling is so much fun...but VERY exhausting at the same time!

Sewing 101

About 6 months ago I found an amazing website that allows people to sell items that they have made on there. I often look through the website to see if there are any cute outfits for Miss Morgan. I came across some dresses that I just LOVED, but never bought for her. They are called pillowcase dresses. Every time I saw one I just kept thinking to myself...my mom could make that, so I never bought one. Well knowing that Morgan and I are headed to Colorado I decided that I...yes ME...was going to attempt to make Morgan and her cousin Peyton matching Halloween dresses. So I headed off to Jo-Ann's and found some fabric and ribbon and then headed to my mom's house for a lesson in sewing. See, I do not own a sewing machine, nor did I EVER think I would...but Shawn will be surprised to hear what our next purchase is going to be when he gets home from his hunting trip! :) The dress below is for Peyton...she is 5 months old. Each of the girls have a long-sleeve shirt to wear under it with black leggings, as it is COLD in Colorado right now. I was so worried the dress would not turn out...but it did and I am SO excited to make MORE of them for Miss Morgan and her Little Peyton!

Ten year reunion

This weekend was the Mountain Ridge 10 year reunion for class of 99 and 11 year reunion for class of 98. I graduated in 1998, but last year we could not have a reunion due to the fact that our class was so small there was not enough money in that account to put one on. So we celebrated with the class of 99.

Friday night started out at Paseo Park for a family picnic. We enjoyed playing on the playground with the kids and visiting. Next everyone headed to the football game. Lastly we ended our evening at Salty's. Shawn and I skipped out on the football game and enjoyed date dinner at Ah-So's for some Sushi and Steak.

Dacia and I at the park.
Liz and I at Salty's.

Patricia (Grandma) Shero

Yesterday Shawn had the day off and we had a list full of errands to do. The first stop we decided to make was to visit Shawn's grandmother who passed away in 1987. His grandmother was on a flight from Michigan to Phoenix when the plane clipped an overpass then went down after that. There was only one survivor, a baby at the time.

Here is Shawn introducing Morgan to her Great- Grandma Shero.

We took her some Fall flowers and cleaned out the vase from the old flowers.
Patricia is buried right next to the book of Psalms.

Daddy and Morgan waving goodbye.

Disney Live

On Saturday night my parents and I took Morgan to see Disney Live. I wanted Miss Morgan to have a special outfit to wear...but I wanted it to be unique! So I made her one...the shirt I already posted on here and I made myself a matching one. The skirt is one of her many pink skirts and I took white felt and cut out circles and had my mom sew them on. Then I made matching bows for our hair.

Little poser!
Waiting for the show to begin with my parents...Morgan has been walking around with one of my little Coach purses lately so my dad bought Morgan her very own Minnie Mouse purse at the show. I tell you, she is SOO spoiled by her grandma and grandpa!

Passed out on Grandpa after the show!
