Swim Lessons and Gardening

We started our private swim lessons for Morgan this past Tuesday. I can't even stand the thought of swimming in a public pool...so we opted for private lessons instead. Morgan was so excited to get her suit and "flops" on..she was dancing and posing about the kitchen.

Morgan did so well for being her first time in the pool this summer. She was not timid nor afraid of anything. She kept rolling to her back to float, which we were told was one of the harder tasks, so we went with it.
She LOVED kicking her feet and splashing everyone.

By the end of her first lesson, Morgan was trying to swim away by herself...she did NOT want anyone touching her. So excited to have a little swimmer on our hands! Now if I could just get my parents to hire Shawn to build a fence around their pool!!
After swimming and eating dinner we headed next door to do a little gardening for Pat, my parents neighbor. Morgan was so excited to help pick tomato's.
Once her bag was full she was ready to go. The joys of summer just keep getting better! Although I want it to last forever...I really don't because it is just TOO HOT!!!

LOST

This years theme to camp for Zach

Here is Zach and a few friends on the bus headed to camp...they are all girls...hmmmmm
This is what Zach is sleeping in...true camping is what I call this!!
Zach is in the yellow/orange suit...
Having fun in the lake
Looks like he is having quite the experience.

Movie Monday

Each Monday 4 moms and 7 kids head to the movie...
Morgan LOVES sitting in her BIG girl booster seat and she claps and sings with every movie. If there is a dancing part in the movie...you got it...she is up out of her seat dancing!! Such a show off...but a cute on at that.

Here are 2 of our friends...Ryann with her mommy, Melissa. Ryann has a brother named Travis and each Monday morning when I talk to Morgan about going to a movie...she always says, with excitement, TRAVIIISSS...so cute what they relate to the different events in their lives.

Father's Day and Beyond

Father's Day was spent having breakfast and a movie at Chrissy's Cafe. The menu consisted of French Toast, Bacon, Sausage, Corned Beef Hash and a little vegan menu for my sis. The movie was Morgan's pick..."NEMO"! Oh the joys of falling in LOVE with a movie and having to watch it a hundred times a week.

After breakfast was done and cleaned up we packed up Zach's bag took him to the church so he and 600+ other kids and leaders could hop on a bus and head to California for a week to camp...and learn...and play!! He was a little nervous when we dropped him off, but as soon as he saw his friends he was good to go! They arrived safely on Sunday night and have been having so much FUN ever since.
Next, Shawn, Morgan and I headed to Prescott to see Shawn's parents. Morgan had a fever, but her spirits were good. She LOVED coloring with her "PaPa"....
and posing by her Daddy....
and sitting on the fountain.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful men in our lives.

My Extreme Home Make-over....

As you all know we have recently moved...again...and I am at it again with turning this house into a home. Here is a little sneak peak of some progress in the master bedroom and bath.

This bathroom only has one sink and then a spot for a vanity stool. Well, I needed more storage space so I spiced it up a bit. This is before....
This is after...I had some blue fabric from when I was teaching and used it on my bulletin boards, and I had some flowers and ribbon too. I just used a nifty little staple gun and made these counter curtains. Then with the blue canvas totes we had I filled them with bathroom necessities and under the cabinet they went. Nice and clean and unseen!! The cost of this project was...$0.00.

Next, I headed to my local dollar store for these items...
A few candle holders, some case bowls and vases, a little sand and some shells and some Gorilla Glue.
I took the candle holders and glued them to the bottom of the vases and bowls to make them stand higher...and prettier! Then I filled each one with a little beach decor.
This is what I got. Three beautiful pieces of decor for the small cost of $5.00.

Many more pictures to come, as I finish our bedroom.

Next is the living room make-over...here are a few before pictures...

Now for the after...
We repainted everything in this room. Added special decor to the plant shelf and best of all removed all the old carpet and replaced it with this beautiful tile. With pictures of family and friends through out and candles burning, I also try to make it feel like a home not just a house!!
