Halloween Dinner

Last year was the start of a yearly tradition...Halloween Dinner. Last year mom's dinner was quite the hit, so this year she created some new ideas.

Our Menu for the evening:
Worms and Meatballs covered in Blood

 Mummies in Coffins
Skeletons and Brains
 Witches Brew to drink
(Rootbeer floats for the kids and non-drinks and Beer for the drinkers)

Then we just had fun hanging out and laughing!!

Trick or Treat...

All dressed up for Trick or Treating...so for the bad photos, could not find the good camera last night!
Zach REALLY, REALLY wanted to be Steve Urkel for Halloween...so that's what he was...the hardest piece to find for his costume was the suspenders. Who would have thought!!
Morgan had the choice of a fairy or Minnie Mouse...she picked the fairy, with her tap shoes, and called herself Tinkerbell and said, "I can fly mommy look!" Then pretended to fly through the house! We had a great weekend and now it's time to plan for Thanksgiving!!

A Boo-tiful Month...and it's not over yet!!

This month has been FULL of  "Spook-tacular" events so far for our family!

This is one of MANY events that I have set up for; childrens' consignment sales, school carnivals, teaching supply stores, boutiques and more.

My next event will be held in Gilbert, AZ for a boutique. This is going to be a great place to come and shop for Christmas gifts and much more. Contact me for more info on that if you are interested. The list of vendors is amazing and I am so excited about the hair bows and unique clothing items I will find for Miss Morgan!

Here are some of the kids drawing with chalk during preschool...it is great to be able to do this from my home, yet still use my schooling. LOVE being a stay at home Mommy!!

 Today was PB&J day!
Zach had to get glasses...he was bummed, then excited, then bummed again. Bummed because he had to get them, excited when we got there, then bummed when he had to wait for his glasses to come in. These are the ones he picked...he was VERY VERY against the "metal kind"!! (Hence the face in the next picture)

Notice his eye on the screen....

Tonight is pumpkin carving and pizza with friends, then Trunk or Treat, Halloween themed dinner and Trick or Treating this weekend...with 2 more events...and church in the mix as well!! I am so thankful that God just keeps placing these AMAZING women and opportunities at my feet to grow my business.

Pumpkin Patch

The Shero Comic: A Day at the Patch
Climbing the knots to get to the top
Turning each corner and coming to a stop.
Racing the track, each corner we go,
Zach was left in the dust screaming no, no!!
Train rides for all and pictures..say cheese,
Now fast asleep as we rest our knees!

Pronto Pasta & Sausage Skillet

I have started to use recipes to try new dishes each night. This is what I made last night.

Pronto Pasta & Sausage Skillet

Ingredients:
1 medium onion
1 medium green bell pepper
3 links hot Italian sausage (12oz)
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
3 1/2 cups uncooked penne pasta (I used bow tie)
3 1/2 cups water
1 jar (26oz) spaghetti or marina sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
2 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup (4oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 oz Parmesan cheese, grated (1/4 cup) divided
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley

1. Dice onion and bell pepper. Remove casings from sausage. Cut in half lengthwise, the cut into 1/2in. nuggets. Place sausage into (12-in.) skillet. Cook over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.

2. Add onion and bell pepper to skillet; cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add pressed garlic and pepper flakes; cook 10-20 seconds or until fragrant. Stir in pasta, water, sauce, salt and black pepper. bring to a simmer; cover and cook 14-16 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.

3. Remove skillet from heat. Stir in cream cheese until incorporated. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Cover and let stand 2-3 minutes or until cheeses are melted. Garnish with chopped parsley.

(I forgot to take a picture of the final stage before eating...sorry)

Sleep, Play, Eat...Repeat!

SLEEP! (Morgan fell asleep in her chair watching TV with Daddy)
PLAY!  (We attended a wedding on Sunday and Morgan played in the park)

EAT! (Eating bread with dinner)
Repeat..SLEEP!
PLAY! (Morgan LOVES to go over hills that make her tummy tickle...we found a big hill yesterday and I had to film her reaction..priceless)
EAT! (Morgan picked a candy necklace at Smeeks as her treat)
We slept, we played and we ate all weekend. It seemed never ending!!

With this ring...

Today Shawn and I celebrate our 3rd anniversary as Mr. and Mrs. Shero. Although he is hunting and we are actually spending our day apart, I know that we are close at heart.

We celebrated on this day with our family and friends to witness the love we share for one another..although we lived two separate lives for a period of our lives the Lord brought us back together where he wanted us to stay. Why we didn't see it the first time is beyond me...but what we lived through made us a strong couple and now we have built something to last! We will forever dance our dance and go wherever the Lord takes us.
