A Quaint Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a day to celebrate the mom in your life that has done it all for you!
That is exactly what we did!
We enjoyed a nice lunch at a quaint spot!

Adventures of Grandparents....

My parents have always been there for me through everything I do...
From dance as a child,
to school performances,
my dad being the "Cheer" dad and always there taking photos at every event,
dance in college,
both college graduations of mine,
driving 3 hours to help out in my classroom for a Thanksgiving dinner with my class,
driving another 3 hours just to go to my ultrasound appointment,
helping us move a million times,
being in the delivery room when I gave birth to Miss Morgan,
and being the BEST grandparents my kids will know!

I certainly have received the jack pot when it comes to parents...and Morgan has received it when it comes to grandparents... They will do anything to put a smile on her face and make her laugh!!

Including:
hopping in the shopping cart with Morgan! Morgan wanted to ride in this cart so bad when we got to the store...so my mom took about 10 bleach wipes and wiped the entire cart down just so it was clean...then my dad started pushing the cart...spinning her in circles through the store, being silly the whole time. As we were walking out of the store my mom, who had this planned, hopped in the basket and Grandpa pushed them to the car. Morgan thought it was so funny of Grandma! (sorry for the horrible cell phone quality photo)

going...going...going...

Time to play catch up....here is what we have been up to lately...
Going to the library for story and craft time.

This day was all about smiles, so the kids made smiley face pancakes.

Then it was off to the Science Center for a day of fun with some of our friends.
Going to be taller than me soon...YIKES!

Next stop...EASTER!!

This is her sassy "what" pose!

Playing at church.
Birthday Time...Zach is 12!!

Birthday breakfast!

We had a small party on Saturday...but I forgot to take pictures...oops! After beginning to plan a fun "Camp-out" Party Zach decided he did not want a party this year. Not sure if he was having a grumpy day when he told me that or if it is starting to become un-cool for parents to plan parties now...

111 miles for lunch and yogurt...

Joesph, at lunch. My Uncle Shawn met me and the kids at Venezia's Pizza.

Drawing on the chalk wall at PS Yogurt.
Friends of ours have opened a yogurt shop called PS Yogurt. It is off of the 60 and Ellsworth...VERY far from me...but last Friday I loaded the kids in the truck and we met my Uncle for lunch, then headed over for some yogurt! I have to say it is rather delicious!! They were not officially open until later that day, so we were able to sample the flavors and color on the chalk wall! It's a must go if you live out that way!

Almost done....Next stop was the nail salon...Morgan waited for me so patiently and they even had a cute little chair just for her!

I feel like I have been the energizer bunny the last few months...come June it will be slow down time...until then sorry for the picture overloads!

I can't keep up....

We have been so busy that some days I feel my heading spinning! Since we are approaching another  busy weekend I thought I better do a post so I do not have too much to catch up on.

Every Friday Morgan and I head to playgroup with some mommies and their kiddos from church! This past week we hosted at our home. I got out every Easter basket I had and served all the food/snacks from baskets. Morgan thought it was so fun to fill the baskets she said, "We are like the bunny!"

Shawn has been working on a few projects...one being an Easter gift that a friend ordered from him for their daughter. Her room is done in Zebra print with accents of florescent colors...this is his master "PEACE"...
Shawn and Zach cut a ton of blue strips of tape for me and I placed them to make Zebra stripes.
1st coat of paint
Finished product!
It simply amazes me how Shawn can start with a solid sheet of metal and finish with this. I will show you more of his work soon!

So this month I have been recruiting women on my Mary Kay team like CRAZY!! We had a huge guest even this past Tuesday night and I was in charge of making Cake Pops...
I had never made them before, but I thought how hard could it be...
Needless to say it wasn't all that hard...just MESSY...too MESSY for me...and they did not look as cute as I had in mind...which may have been because I was DONE with the mess. So here they are...
My little helper!!
She REALLY wanted to pose...
Crumbled cake after I baked it.
Ready to chill over-night.
Preparing the decor box
Adding the sticks...before the mess! :)
Finished product!
The theme was Cash, Cupcakes and Cadillacs. They tasted good...if that counts for anything!
And of course to end this post...my little...yet not so little Princess! Getting so big and filled with SO many words. It is just CRAZY how time flies so quickly!
She specifically picked this shirt because she said she would be like Belle in it. :)
And so the journey begins again...a new weekend filled with things to do...
