going...going...going...

Time to play catch up....here is what we have been up to lately...
Going to the library for story and craft time.

This day was all about smiles, so the kids made smiley face pancakes.

Then it was off to the Science Center for a day of fun with some of our friends.
Going to be taller than me soon...YIKES!

Next stop...EASTER!!

This is her sassy "what" pose!

Playing at church.
Birthday Time...Zach is 12!!

Birthday breakfast!

We had a small party on Saturday...but I forgot to take pictures...oops! After beginning to plan a fun "Camp-out" Party Zach decided he did not want a party this year. Not sure if he was having a grumpy day when he told me that or if it is starting to become un-cool for parents to plan parties now...

111 miles for lunch and yogurt...

Joesph, at lunch. My Uncle Shawn met me and the kids at Venezia's Pizza.

Drawing on the chalk wall at PS Yogurt.
Friends of ours have opened a yogurt shop called PS Yogurt. It is off of the 60 and Ellsworth...VERY far from me...but last Friday I loaded the kids in the truck and we met my Uncle for lunch, then headed over for some yogurt! I have to say it is rather delicious!! They were not officially open until later that day, so we were able to sample the flavors and color on the chalk wall! It's a must go if you live out that way!

Almost done....Next stop was the nail salon...Morgan waited for me so patiently and they even had a cute little chair just for her!

I feel like I have been the energizer bunny the last few months...come June it will be slow down time...until then sorry for the picture overloads!

I can't keep up....

We have been so busy that some days I feel my heading spinning! Since we are approaching another  busy weekend I thought I better do a post so I do not have too much to catch up on.

Every Friday Morgan and I head to playgroup with some mommies and their kiddos from church! This past week we hosted at our home. I got out every Easter basket I had and served all the food/snacks from baskets. Morgan thought it was so fun to fill the baskets she said, "We are like the bunny!"

Shawn has been working on a few projects...one being an Easter gift that a friend ordered from him for their daughter. Her room is done in Zebra print with accents of florescent colors...this is his master "PEACE"...
Shawn and Zach cut a ton of blue strips of tape for me and I placed them to make Zebra stripes.
1st coat of paint
Finished product!
It simply amazes me how Shawn can start with a solid sheet of metal and finish with this. I will show you more of his work soon!

So this month I have been recruiting women on my Mary Kay team like CRAZY!! We had a huge guest even this past Tuesday night and I was in charge of making Cake Pops...
I had never made them before, but I thought how hard could it be...
Needless to say it wasn't all that hard...just MESSY...too MESSY for me...and they did not look as cute as I had in mind...which may have been because I was DONE with the mess. So here they are...
My little helper!!
She REALLY wanted to pose...
Crumbled cake after I baked it.
Ready to chill over-night.
Preparing the decor box
Adding the sticks...before the mess! :)
Finished product!
The theme was Cash, Cupcakes and Cadillacs. They tasted good...if that counts for anything!
And of course to end this post...my little...yet not so little Princess! Getting so big and filled with SO many words. It is just CRAZY how time flies so quickly!
She specifically picked this shirt because she said she would be like Belle in it. :)
And so the journey begins again...a new weekend filled with things to do...

SUMMER is coming...

We have been enjoying our Spring days...because we know that SUMMER is coming...and it will be HOT!!
Most days we play outside...bouncing on the trampoline, playing with the BIG legos, and inside the playhouse. As of late we have found a fun little splash pad and took one of our last trips to the zoo until Fall.  My parents played hooky last week and enjoyed a day at the zoo with all of us!

Waiting for the water...

Catching the water...

Tristan, Morgan and Ben at the zoo

Every year for Easter my mom takes Morgan to Build-A-Bear and let's her create an Easter animal. The past two years we have gotten out of the store without having to dress the animal...this year...not so much! :)
Deciding what animal to get...

Picking a sound for her Bunny...she picked the giggle!
Waiting to stuff her bunny
Giving Bunny a bath
Picking a name and printing a birth certificate for her bunny...Morgan named her Jasmine.
All packed up and ready to go home!
These are the accessories Morgan picked

My mom's Aunt and Uncle were in town from Wisconsin this past weekend. So we were able to meet up with them and have lunch. This is Morgan's Great-Great Aunt and Uncle...what a special visit we all had!
Aunt Margie, Dad, Morgan, Mom, Uncle Russel and Cousin Scott
Shawn has also been staying busy with a few custom metal orders.
A side gate...still a work in progress
Top of the date...Shawn drew and cut out these designs.
Peace sign wall art for a child's room...still needs paint.
We are preparing for VERY busy months ahead...with birthday celebrations, trips and school ending. Although SUMMER is coming...we are excited to escape the heat with a few trips planned!

The joys...

Although my heart was extremely happy while teaching children. I knew that I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom once we found out I was pregnant...but I also knew I would HAVE to be doing something to allow me some adult time. So...that is where my Mary Kay business comes to play. I cannot even imagine my world without this AWESOME opportunity that fell at my feet. So I am going to share my story with you.

When I was told "You would be great at this"! I thought well okay why not...so January 8th, 2010 I signed my agreement and off I went...pampering, helping, building confidence in women. How fun! As I started to attend events and became surrounded by many women who were following Mary Kay Ash's golden rule,
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"
I found myself wanting what these women had...not just the free cars and beautiful diamonds...but the peace and joy about them. So I began doing what these women were doing...putting God first, Family second and Career third. I did most of that anyways...except the God part. I went to church, I served at church but I was not fully putting God first in my every actions.

I am sharing this because after just spending this past weekend surrounded by 2,000 or more Mary Kay women I was blessed with an opportunity to help someone in desperate need, and when I read the post my response came without any hesitation at all...I just knew that this is what God wanted me to do. Then I realized that this is why I started this business...to Enrich the Lives of Women!

This business is NOT about me or the amount of money that I make. It is about the women I am helping...whether they just want to learn how to apply make-up or take care of their skin, or build confidence in themselves to begin their own journey of helping others, or best of all to run silent auctions and donate ALL my profits so a woman who I do not even know can raise money for her sister who needs a lung transplant NOW!! Time is of the essence and we do not know when today is OUR day. But I do know that with everyday the Lord gives me I have this AMAZING opportunity to help others!

Here are a few pictures from my event this past weekend!

Holly and I with this VERY YUMMY Cotton Candy

All of us at lunch
My future!

My current goal! This is the Pink Cadi that I will be driving first...
When I got home, Sunday night a friend of mine posted a comment on her facebook page sharing a link that was asking for donations for her friend's, sister to be able to have a lung transplant. I am happy to share that I am running a silent auction for this family and donating my profits to them to help her out! I do not know them or know if I will ever have the opportunity to meet them, but I do know that this sister is doing something amazing for her sister in need, so NOW I get to help in ways that some never knew where possible!

Parks, Bunnies & Fairies...OH MY!!

Morgan and her friend Sierra.
Playing at the park has been one of our favorite things to do these past few weeks. With this wonderful weather we have packed up our lunches and met up with our friends for some outside playtime!

One of the parks by our house has a lake so we go there often to feed the ducks. Morgan took her cousin Ashlyn to feed the ducks for the first time the other day while taking some pictures for Easter of the 2 of them. Morgan LOVED her bunny ears and was hopping like a bunny...Ashlyn...not so much! And of course we finished the trip off with some Mini M&M's.
After eating M&M's this is what happens!! :)

Next stop was just around the park to Morgan's friend Emma's birthday party. It was a Fairy Princess theme...so all the little girls got fairy wings and princess wands. Morgan and Emma were pretending to fly like fairies.

Now that the school year is coming to an end...our calendar becomes more full than it has ever been with parties and trips. I am looking forward to the month of April for so many reasons!! I just wish this nice weather would stay around a bit longer so we could play outdoors more!!
