Fashion Diva

This past weekend we attended the Children's Expo. The main reason for attending was for Miss Morgan's first fashion show...but after arriving and seeing all there is to do for children I was excited that we could spend the day in a/c and still have a little fun!

Morgan is a PRO at jumping and bouncing due to the use of our trampoline...so when she saw the bounce house she was so excited to "catch a little air".
The Phoenix Police department did her fingerprints while we were there.
She shared samples of drinks and snacks with Grandpa.
Hung out with Auntie Mel and Grandma.
Sat on the BIG red couch....
and even visited with Belle.
But our main reason for going was to watch this little Princess walk across the stage in her two outfits...
This was her first outfit...she wasn't sure what to expect when she first got on stage...
but by the second outfit she knew just what to do and strutted across that stage.

SHERO

Before we left for our trip to Colorado I decided that I wanted to make a photo to hang in our home that spells out our last name. I pondered on what to do and then I decided that I wanted to find different things along our trip that looked like each letter and use that to create my new wall hanging...so this is what I found...

S: A piece of the brick wall at my Grandparent's home.
H: Part of a railroad track in Ouray, Colorado
E: A piece of the fence also at my Grandparent's home.
R: A plant hook hanging off the porch at my Aunt's house.
O: A sunflower in Flagstaff outside of the gas station we stopped at.

I used a photo editing program and made all the photos the same and that is what I used to create our new wall hanging. It looks similar to the header of my blog.

Non-Stop!!

My weekend started off with a LARGE MK Party on Friday night!! New recruit..HUGE sales!!

Happy Birthday Tristan! On Saturday I had yet another MK facial...more sales!! Then Morgan and I headed to our friend Tristan's 3rd birthday party! Morgan LOVES to play with Tristan and his sister!
The party theme was Thomas the Train...so Morgan had a blast with all the train toys!
She also had a blast running around in her little bathing suit and towel!

Happy Grandparent's Day!! My parent's got to enjoy the company of Miss Morgan today as I headed out to Tempe for an ASU Sorority MK Party. Football started today and of course I had to dress Morgan in Denver attire to match her Grandparent's today as they headed to Queen Creek for another birthday party!

Morgan spoiled her Grandparent's with a box of Paradise Bakery cookies and a card!!
All set-up for our party! We had a blast and can't wait to go back for our next sorority event!!
We displayed a great lay out for the girls to view all of our fabulous products!!

All women should be 3 things:
1. Classy
2. Fabulous
3. MK Beauty Consultant

Our Road Trip...

Morgan and I took a road trip with my parents to Colorado for ten days. I remember growing up taking road trips to Colorado...but never one that was as long as this one!! My dad REALLY took the scenic route this time! Besides the LONG drive there and back the trip was GREAT!
Our first stop was to the Four Corners...I had been as a child, so I wanted Morgan to go at least once in her lifetime as well.
There was construction going on as we were there. Everything was re-done and much nicer than I remember!
We took A LOT of pit stops....
One of our stops included a visit with one of my high school friends, Misty! It was so great to see her!
Our next stop was Ouray, Colorado. This is were we stayed on Friday night. Home of many natural hot springs. The hotel we stayed at had a pool that was the hot springs...it was 52 degrees outside and 101 degrees in the pool...WONDERFUL!!
Next stop...Colorado Springs....
We visited family, celebrated my Aunt's 50th birthday, and PLAYED!!
We took a trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
The Giraffe's were Morgan's favorite!
We also took a ride on The Royal Gorge Railway...that was breathtaking!
The bridge you see in the photo is a suspension bridge...they also have a cable car ride that goes over the top of the gorge...SCARY!!
Morgan got a hair cut and sat so good for it!
We visited The Abbey, which was a former Catholic Monastery for Monks in the Order of St. Benedict from 1924-2005. Amazing architecture.
Once again our ride home consisted of many stops and scenic views...one of the best was our Moose encounter.
Our final stop was in Durango, Colorado where we stayed at the Strater Hotel. This hotel was built in the 1800's and for some reason I got a creepy vibe from it...the stay was great and it was clean....just OLD!
Right behind the hotel was the railroad station, so we got the see the train.
This train still runs from Durango to Silverton for tourists to sight see along the way!

Our trip was a wonderful one...next time I prefer to fly!!
